Government launches digital platform for anonymous corruption reports in public institutions

Santo Domingo.- President Luis Abinader announced the launch of the government campaign “Protegiendo lo Nuestro,” aimed at promoting transparency and accountability across all state institutions. The initiative seeks to educate public officials, employees, and citizens on the importance of ethical conduct and oversight.

The campaign enables citizens to submit anonymous, secure, and confidential complaints about potential corruption through the digital platform at denunciaspepca.pgr.gob.do. Abinader highlighted that the digitalization of government processes allows for greater citizen oversight and social auditing, increasing transparency compared to the past.

The president emphasized that his administration will not tolerate illegal acts in public administration, noting that the new Penal Code imposes harsher penalties for corruption. He specifically referenced ongoing investigations, stressing that anyone who misappropriates public funds, especially in health services, will face strict judicial consequences. The campaign reinforces the government’s commitment to combat corruption and encourage citizen participation in safeguarding public resources.
