Abinader arrives in California to attend Semiconductor Annual Meeting

San Jose, California.- President Luis Abinader arrived yesterday in San Jose, California, at 1:19 p.m. local time, beginning a two-day visit centered on the Semiconductor Annual Meeting. His agenda includes exclusive meetings with top executives from global industry leaders and bilateral sessions aimed at strengthening the Dominican Republic’s role as a reliable partner for companies seeking to diversify their production chains.

Upon arrival, Abinader was welcomed by Dominican ambassador to the United States María Isabel Castillo and businessman Samuel Conde. He is accompanied by Industry and Commerce Minister Víctor “Ito” Bisonó, institutional representatives, and private-sector leaders.

Throughout his visit, the president and his delegation will participate in high-level discussions focused on expanding the country’s presence in the global semiconductor supply chain. These engagements aim to promote innovation initiatives, explore new cooperation opportunities, and attract investment tied to advanced manufacturing and supply-chain relocation. Abinader will also attend the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) Annual Dinner.
