A trough will increase the chances of precipitation in the Dominican Republic from this afternoon until Monday: the atmospheric system will be activated by the humid winds coming from the Atlantic.

“This is how November will say goodbye, with moderate to heavy rainy periods, but without risk of significant flooding in the Dominican territory: some wind gusts will develop in the coming days due to the influence of high pressure,” he said.

During the weekend, the effects of the trough and the humid winds will persist, generating rainy periods across much of our country, mainly in the afternoons and at night. Also on Monday, there is a forecast of afternoon rains due to the trough.

About the cold front

While cold front number 8 will move into the Bahamas and Cuba over the next 24 hours, it will not affect the country directly.

However, it will help keep the atmosphere very cool at the national level during the coming nights and early mornings.
