Santo Domingo.- Dominican NBA star Al Horford is bringing the prestigious Larry O’Brien NBA Championship Trophy to the Dominican Republic for the first time. Accompanied by his wife, Amelia Vega, and their children, Horford is en route to the country aboard a JetBlue plane adorned in Boston Celtics green and featuring the team’s championship logo.
In a video shared by Amelia Vega on social media, Horford is seen boarding the plane while holding the trophy, proudly stating, “Dominican, let’s go.”
Horford is expected to arrive at Las Américas International Airport around 4:00 p.m., joined by his wife and family members, including relatives of Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla.
So is that THE trophy, or do all of the players get a copy?
