Zoé Saldaña arrives in Dominican Republic for 2025 Soberano Awards

Santo Domingo.- American actress and model of Dominican descent, Zoé Saldaña, arrived in the Dominican Republic on Sunday to attend the 2025 Soberano Awards, set to take place on Tuesday, March 25, at the Carlos Piantini Room of the Eduardo Brito National Theater.

Saldaña, who recently won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in Emilia Pérez, shared a scenic post on Instagram featuring palm trees and the ocean, accompanied by Juan Luis Guerra’s song “The More I Think About It…”

Saldaña’s return to the Dominican Republic is at the invitation of Acroarte and the Soberano Awards, during a peak moment in her career. Many social media users speculate she may receive the Grand Sovereign Award, recognizing her success as a major figure in Hollywood and a symbol of Latino achievement. Along with her Oscar win, Saldaña has earned numerous accolades, including a Golden Globe, Critics Choice Award, BAFTA, and Screen Actors Guild Award for her acclaimed role.
