Marileidy Paulino triumphs again at Miami Grand Slam Track

Miami, Florida.- Dominican Olympic champion Marileidy Paulino delivered an outstanding performance at the 2025 Miami Grand Slam Track event, winning gold in both the 200-meter and 400-meter races. She clocked 22.30 seconds in the 200 meters, setting a new national record for the Dominican Republic and earning a total of US$100,000 in prize money along with 26 event points.

Paulino also triumphed in her specialty, the 400 meters, last Friday with a time of 49.21 seconds, ahead of Nigerian runner Salwa Eid Naser. Both were the only athletes to complete the race in under 50 seconds, reaffirming their elite status in global athletics.

Paulino’s victory marks a powerful comeback after placing third in the 400 meters during the first Grand Slam leg in Jamaica. Meanwhile, fellow Dominican Alexander Ogando secured fifth place in the 400 meters and ranks third overall, earning $30,000 for his performance.
