Consulate in Genoa launches digital platform for Dominican community in Liguria

Genoa, Italy.- The Dominican Republic’s Consulate in Genoa, Italy, has launched RDenGenova.org, a new digital platform designed to strengthen ties between the Dominican community in Liguria and their homeland. The initiative, led by Consul Adolfo Pineda, aligns with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ vision of offering more accessible and tailored diplomatic services for the diaspora. With a Dominican population of approximately 17,100 in Liguria, the region is becoming a key hub for consular outreach and support.
Consul Pineda emphasized that the portal enhances the delivery of official information and consular services, reflecting President Luis Abinader’s broader efforts to support Dominicans living abroad. In addition to streamlining administrative services, the site acts as a cultural and informational bridge, offering resources on investment opportunities, tourism, and seasonal travel packages aimed at both Dominicans and Italians. It also features a calendar of community, cultural, and educational events, as well as updates on social programs and government initiatives, all aimed at reinforcing national identity abroad.
Pineda expressed hope that the new platform will help channel interest in Dominican tourism and promote economic development, inviting the Dominican community in Liguria to register and stay connected through upcoming events and activities starting June 6, 2025.
