Trump administration ends TPS for over 520,000 Haitians

Washington.- The U.S. government, under President Donald Trump, announced on Thursday the revocation of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Haiti, stripping over 520,000 Haitians of legal status. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem justified the decision by claiming the program had been “exploited and abused for decades.”

The move reverses an extension granted by President Joe Biden (2021-2025), who had argued that Haiti faces severe humanitarian crises, including violence, food shortages, and lack of essential services. As a result, TPS for Haitians will expire on August 3, leaving them vulnerable to deportation. The decision follows a similar revocation of TPS for Venezuelans in recent weeks.

1/2 million Haitians are headed back to Port-au-Prince in a few weeks. Will DR take them? Pay for their food? Pay for their housing? Pay for their medical care? Pay for their children’s schools? Pay for their phones? Pay for their internet?
USA is done paying for Hatians…I hope DR doesnt fall for the trap to pay for them.

MDGA…Make Dominican Great Again!

Why would the RD take them or be responsible for the citizens of Haiti? That doesn’t make sense. They are going back to HAITI.

As of 2013 Haitians made up 5% of the DR population (458,233)…I quote YOU…”Why would the RD take them or be responsible for the citizens of Haiti?” Well why is 5% of the DR population made up of Haitians? “That doesn’t make sense.”

Now add another 500,000 returning Haitians that illegally entered into the USA are used to a better life. Do you think they will stay in Haiti or try to get into DR?

DR doesnt have a secure border so do the math Edward…an influx of 500,000 Haitians that dont want to be in Haiti..where do you think they are headed? Cuba? Afghanistan? or DR.

Does that make sense to you Edward? “They are going back to HAITI.” LOL..ignorant.

Once deported, they better NOT set foot in DR. Send them all back to Haiti.

The operative word in TPS is “TEMPORARY”. Previous administrations did not understand that and these folks considered themselves permanent.
