Larissa Veloz assumes role as Dominican Republic’s permanent delegate to UNESCO

Paris.-  Ambassador Larissa Veloz officially assumed her position as the Dominican Republic’s permanent delegate to UNESCO, reinforcing the country’s commitment to education, culture, and science on the global stage. With extensive diplomatic experience, Veloz aims to strengthen cooperation and promote national priorities within the organization.

She was welcomed by Aurich Rodríguez, chargé d’affaires, and the Permanent Mission team, who pledged their support in advancing the country’s foreign policy goals. Her appointment reaffirms the Dominican Republic’s dedication to intercultural dialogue and cultural heritage protection.

Ambassador Veloz will soon present her credentials to UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay, following her appointment by President Luis Abinader under Decree 600-24.
