Dominican Consulate in Athens celebrates Independence and Women’s Day with community

Athens, Greece.- The Dominican Consulate in Athens thanked the Dominican community in Thessaloniki for their enthusiastic participation in celebrating National Independence Day and International Women’s Day. The event, held on March 8, honored the 181st anniversary of independence and paid tribute to the nation’s Founding Fathers: Juan Pablo Duarte, Matías Ramón Mella, and Francisco del Rosario Sánchez.

Consul General Rómulo García highlighted the contributions of the Dominican diaspora in Greece, especially Dominican women, recognizing their strength and dedication in representing their homeland abroad. He expressed appreciation for community leaders, artists, and collaborators who helped make the event a success.
