Ex President’s critics will achieve his indictment, DT readers say

Santo Domingo.- An overwhelming majority of DT readers say they expect success for the numerous groups that seek to obtain an indictment against former president Leonel Fernandez, for his alleged role in the more than RD$140.0 billion fiscal hole which forced the government to ramrod an unprecedented tax package through Congress.

When asked “Will Fernandez’s critics achieve his indictment,?” 27,510 readers, or 96.74%, voted “Yes, it’s only a matter of time,” followed by the response, “I hope so, he deserves it,” with 308 votes, or 1.08%.

The response “It’s all a show, it will deflate in a while” had 310 votes, or 1.09%, while the option, “Unlikely, he controls too many powers,” drew 309 votes, or 1.09% of the readers who took part in the weekly, non-scientific poll.
