Seven arrests in bust of 807.4 kilos of cocaine headed to Spain

Santo Domingo.- The National Drugs Control Agency (DNCD) yesterday said the 755 packages of cocaine seized in Caucedo Port, Boca Chica weighed 807.4 kilos, with seven arrests thus far, including one woman.

The drug seized shortly before the group was about to ship it to Spain, hidden in bundles of leaf tobacco, said DNCD spokesman Roberto Lebrón

The drug, distributed in 23 bundles in a container heading to the Port at Valencia, was consigned to the company ‘Cuevas & Amp Hermanos, C x A’, located in the Special Free Zone Marmolejos, Villa González, Santiago.

Among those arrested figure the brothers Jose Manuel and Johanna Alcántara Roa, Rubén Ezequiel Gabriel, Juan Carlos Mojica Rosario, Alejandro Vizcaya Antonio Villar, Angel Domingo Jiménez and Wáscar Alberto Familia.

Lebrón said the drug had been placed in the 20 foot-long container number ECMU1485937, to loaded onto in the freighter `Catarina’.
