Airlines cancel 13 Dominican-New York flights on “massive” storm

Santo Domingo.- Air lines in the Las Americas International Airport (AILA) on Friday canceled around 13 flights to New York, where an approaching “massive” storm could dump more than 60 inches of snow on the northeastern states today and Saturday.

Among the flights reportedly canceled figure Delta Airlines 494; United Airlines 1473; Jet Blue 824 and 830, and American Airlines 1752 and 487.

The cancellations left a large number of passengers stranded, forcing them to make reservations for other days, while the airlines recommend that travelers contact them to avoid problems, before heading to the airports.
