Winter Operations in the Dominican Republic
American Airlines plans to operate up to 25 daily flights to five destinations in the Dominican Republic during peak days. These destinations include La Romana (LRM), Puerto Plata (POP), Punta Cana (PUJ), Santiago (STI), and Santo Domingo (SDQ). This expansion represents a 5% increase in flights and a 6% increase in available seats compared to the airline’s previous record winter operation.
Tickets for these flights will be available for purchase starting May 20 on aa.com or the American Airlines mobile app.
This route expansion will offer more flying options to travelers into and out of the country’s eastern tourist zone. Wonder if the Open Skies Agreement had influence on American’s service expansion?
