President Abinader proposes Schengen Visa elimination for Dominicans

Santo Domingo.- During a press conference on Monday, President Luis Abinader revealed that during his recent trip to Europe, he discussed with Italian President Sergio Mattarella the possibility of eliminating the Schengen visa requirement for Dominican citizens. Abinader’s visit to the Vatican, Italy, and Portugal provided an opportunity to address this issue with Mattarella. However, he clarified that he intends to formalize the proposal only after the majority of countries have agreed to it.

Abinader indicated that he has received approval from Spain, Portugal, and Italy regarding the visa elimination, and he aims to engage in discussions with France and Germany on the matter. He also had the opportunity to discuss this issue with Portuguese President Marcelo Rebelo.

Currently, Dominican citizens are required to obtain a visa to enter the European Union, making this potential policy change significant for the region.

I don’t know if this is good or bad ? If the Dominicans are leaving to support the motherland with euros. Who’s going to stay in the motherland ? The Haitians and the elites.

They want to push Dominicans out to make room for the wild people of the other side island.

Well, I hope the Dominican passport will strengthen after the EU lift Schengen visa on Dominicans, catching up with other countries with powerful passports.

Pointless request. The EU consists of 28 member states and the countries with the most ‘authority’ will not give up an agreement here.
