Temporary suspension of electric scooters and motorcycles in Colonial City

Santo Domingo.- The Mayor’s Office of the National District and the National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (INTRANT) announced on Wednesday that the use of electric scooters and motorcycles will be temporarily suspended in the Colonial City.

This decision is in response to traffic restrictions caused by public space redevelopment projects aimed at enhancing sustainable mobility, according to an official statement.

Once the road infrastructure improvements are completed, companies with the necessary operating permits will be notified.

The statement emphasized the authorities’ commitment to maintaining order, ensuring safety, and promoting peaceful coexistence for both residents and visitors throughout the city.
