U.S. military aircraft delivers humanitarian aid to Dominican Republic
Santo Domingo.- On Tuesday, a C-17 Globemaster III, a powerful military transport aircraft from the United States Department of Defense, arrived in the Dominican Republic carrying a significant humanitarian donation for vulnerable communities in the northern part of the country.
The aid was delivered under the Denton Program, which facilitates the transport of humanitarian shipments from American NGOs to developing nations. This particular donation, provided by the organization Global Samaritan Resources, includes 1,260 boxes of fortified rice and protein-rich foods, totaling 41,600 pounds. The aid is destined for the Go MAD Foundation in Sosúa, Puerto Plata, and is expected to benefit over 100,000 individuals, including 25,000 women, 15,000 men, and 60,000 children.
This effort underscores the United States’ commitment to supporting underserved communities in the region through collaborative initiatives with local and international organizations.
the Dominican Republic does not need aid from the us. the DR has allot of money. it is just, the money is used, abused and stolen. when the past president here called trump for aid, said his people were hungry. well trump as he is said Well I see all your people in the news, and they are all fat. he said, you do not need aid. end of story. same for now.
You are so on point,,,the DR doesnt help their haitan brothers….
DR is full of millonears and full of folks that milk the US system and the richest drug dealers in the carribean they also Brag they got more exotic cars then Dubai
@Jose please don’t say that the dominican republic does not help all the Haitians. Are you serious. From your phone go on YouTube and watch live news so your better informed. Just on Haitian woman pregnant giving birth in one day is 60 to 80 woman giving birth in one hospital alone. So combine 4 hospitals in total how many woman is that in one day. They are provided with all medical, education, shelter, food ect… not just pregnant woman but all. I have literally gone to hospitals to provide aide & essentials, myself to help the dominican people out there specially in hospitals where there’s no room for a dominican person to get attended unless you go to a private clinic or hospital & keep in mind you will pay for everything that needs to be used such as the writing pad, alcohol, , 2×2 gauze, even the pen that the nurse is going to use to write your prescription you have to buy it first. We have been invaded already. Where have you been!
You know what a “brother” will not do, conquer your territory, rob your natural resources, violate, massacre, or enslave for 22 years. So, do not call the people who have committed all these atrocities against us “brothers.”
Lonys de Haina hey Jose an to the others talking bad about D.republic.and Dominicans.firt go there for a visit.2)take a look at the Haitian people.we help them but they don’t want to help themself. If they get together ,they’re country will be better. But the Haitians want everything for free or stolen or by calling the ???? devil on voodoo, and the Dominicans pray to jesusChrist ..we do help them in every way. So don’t say what you have not see .iam a helper to the community and many hatian eat from my hands.,,yo ayudo a muchos haitianos pero ellos no se quieren ayudar pero quieren todo gratis ,Robards y hacer embrujo a satanás.
Well, there are a few areas that can use the aide. Being that unemployment is somewhat high in the country, and wages are low. Yes, the corruption is real. Hard for any developing country to get support to the people, when people in the government have their hands in the cookie jar. Would not surprise me if some of this aid is being sold for profit. Yes, it could be that bad. I hope the right thing is done with it.
USA wants to control our borders by sending this kind of help. This is an strategy of the invasionist politics….we must protest with auas government, this is not Dominican Republic fault whether they need or not the help…US do this to help themselves, not my Country
Go there and see for yourself
That is going to the Haitians living in The DR, I’ve seen the news and documentaries of how many Haitians live there, in the hospitals giving birth because Haiti does not have the necessary means, as per Haitians themselves. They have Haitian communities and schools that only speak Creole to accommodate the Haitians in DR. I’ve seen that Dominicans do help Haitians, during the earthquake in 2010, DR helped Haiti and also opened their borders for other countries to go into Haiti. I think Haiti needs to take control of the gangs and get rid of them, do what it needs to do to get rid of the chaos in their country and make it safe to live for its people, Haitians need to stop blaming other countries and recognize that the problem is within and their own people that are destroying Haití ( like the gangs ) , that the problem is NOT outside and outsiders, is within and with the people that have done nothing for Haiti. This has been going for decades.
Ive been there multiple times they truly are doing great…
Haiti needs help not DR
The only help Ayiti needs is to be left alone. All the predators need to leave period!
This is propaganda! We all know that DR doesn’t need fortified Rice, or any that.
I’m in the US military myself, and I can tell you a C-130 is not big enough to provide aid to a country. Maybe 20 C-130.
Anyways we all know this is for the Hatians in DR
Exactly! Agree 100% just look at the location it’s being sent to. This is a joke. Dominicans People really need to wake up, & be prepared for what’s already here.
Thank God for the help we truly appreciate it. Not all of DR is rich there’s also some under developed places we need help. And e can’t forget these Dominicans as well. DR????USA
