Adompretur shines at the Caribbean Tourism Exchange 2024 with special recognition and key panel

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Association of Tourism Press (Adompretur) is actively participating in the 28th Caribbean Tourism Exchange (BTC) with a dedicated stand at the Dominican Fiesta Hotel’s Convention Center in Santo Domingo. Highlighting their presence, Adompretur’s president, Yenny Polanco Lovera, will be honored for her impactful career in tourism journalism. This recognition ceremony will occur on Saturday, October 26, at 4:30 p.m. during a formal reception.
BTC president Luis Felipe Aquino noted that the unanimous decision to honor Polanco Lovera reflects her dedication and professional integrity. “This recognition pays tribute to the outstanding career of Yenny Polanco Lovera, a role model for future communicators,” he stated, emphasizing the tourism community’s respect for her contributions.
Panel on tourism’s economic impact
In addition to their stand, Adompretur Joven will host a discussion on tourism’s economic impact in the Dominican Republic. Scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on October 26, the panel will feature El Dinero editor Jairon Severino and financial expert Enoé Domínguez. Adompretur President Héctor Méndez highlighted that this initiative supports Adompretur’s mission to provide valuable insights into the tourism sector.
Adompretur’s participation aligns with its 47th anniversary and the upcoming 20th Epifanio Lantigua National Tourism Journalism Award, sponsored by the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC). Polanco Lovera expressed gratitude to her team for their organization, particularly Marketing Director Luis Santiago Severino for his exceptional coordination.
