Infotep offers graphic design training for hearing-impaired learners

Santo Domingo.- The National Institute for Technical and Professional Training (Infotep) has launched a “Design and Production of Personalized Articles” course tailored for individuals with hearing disabilities from the Altagracia Iglesias Polytechnic in Lora and the National School for the Deaf. The program, which began on November 30 at Infotep’s Cibao Norte Regional Office, includes 27 participants, supported by a sign language expert to ensure accessibility.

Luis Manuel Rodríguez, regional director, emphasized Infotep’s commitment to inclusion and lifelong learning, welcoming 10 men and 17 women into modern classrooms where they are gaining valuable technical skills.

Infotep’s inclusion policy aims to create equitable learning opportunities for all, fostering an environment of respect and collaboration. This initiative builds on the institution’s broader mission to provide quality technical training, inspiring stories like that of José Martínez, a blind facilitator who achieved academic excellence and shared words of encouragement with the new learners.
