Cap Cana sets Guinness Record for world’s largest Rubik’s Cube mosaic
Cap Cana.- The Avéle Gallery at the Cap Cana Marina has unveiled the world’s largest double-sided rotating cube mosaic, earning the Dominican Republic a Guinness World Record. Designed by contemporary artist Mr. Brainwash, the mosaic celebrates the cultural influence of the Rubik’s Cube and the Dominican Republic, featuring intricate designs inspired by Cap Cana’s beauty, Dominican culture, and renowned athletes.
Constructed using nearly 10,000 Rubik’s Cubes, the mosaic spans over 300 square feet and measures 95 feet tall, making it the largest of its kind. The monumental project brought together engineers, artists, designers, and expert “cubists” from around the world for its creation.
The unveiling, captured in a documentary, showcased the craftsmanship and teamwork involved in assembling thousands of cubes. The event culminated with a gala and official Guinness World Records recognition, which will be formally presented in the coming days.
