Abinader holds Christmas lunch with about a thousand motorcyclists
Santo Domingo – For the second consecutive year, President Luis Abinader held a Christmas lunch with about a thousand members of the motoconcho sector, to which he reiterated his commitment to continue promoting measures to raise the quality of life of all those who are dedicated to this work.
Abinader also indicated that in the first weeks of January 2025, a meeting would be coordinated between representatives of the motoconcho sector and the government, in which a new action plan can be drawn up to reduce traffic accidents and improve citizen safety.
He added that they will seek to implement a platform that will allow them, in the same way, to have better access to health and education.
Likewise, he considered them worthy of being able to acquire their own homes through the different government plans, this being one of the requests presented by the motoconchistas.
After thanking them for their presence, he invited them to continue working together to overcome the challenges ahead and make 2025 a year of new conquests.
The presenters are members of the National Federation of Motoconchistas (Fenamoto), the National Coordinator of Motoconcho (Coordinamoto), and the National Union of Motoconchistas (Unamodin).
For his part, the president of Fenamoto, Oscar Almánzar, said it is a “great satisfaction” to share with President Abinader again “because he is the only one who has paid attention to this sector.” He assured that thanks to this government, more than 10,000 members receive fuel vouchers and have the support to be affiliated with the National Health Insurance (SeNaSa).
In this sense, Almánzar said they will maintain the support given to Luis Abinader’s management: “You will not be alone; you will be with the humble men of work who work with you.”
