Puerto Plata Bridal 2025 launched at International Wedding Tourism Congress
Santo Domingo.- Puerto Plata Bridal 2025 was officially launched during the International Association of Destination Wedding Professionals (IADWP) Congress, held at the Jaragua Hotel in Santo Domingo. The bridal event is scheduled for August 5 and 6 at the Gran Ventana and Casa Colonial hotels in Puerto Plata. Organized by Brief SRL, the launch aimed to position Puerto Plata as one of the Caribbean’s top wedding destinations.
Aneury Pilar, the event’s general producer, underscored the importance of promoting Puerto Plata to international wedding industry professionals from countries including the U.S., Mexico, Brazil, Canada, and others. During the luncheon, it was announced that Kitzia Morales—founder and president of IADWP—will serve as the godmother of the 2025 edition, further boosting the event’s global appeal.
Support for the initiative came from key industry figures, including Birgitt Heinsen, president of the Puerto Plata Destination Tourism Cluster, and Mirta Sánchez, president of the Weddings and Events Association (ABE). The presentation highlighted Puerto Plata’s advantages, such as beachside venues, hotel infrastructure, and strong air connectivity. As part of a strategic alliance, Kitzia Morales will also lead a group of international wedding planners to Puerto Plata, expanding its visibility and reinforcing its status in the global romance tourism market.
