Tourism Minister Collado inspects Sosúa and Puerto Plata development projects
Sosúa.- Tourism Minister David Collado conducted a supervisory tour of Sosúa and Puerto Plata, accompanied by local officials including Sosúa Mayor Wilfredo Olivences, Deputy Lidia Pérez, and Northern Tourism Director Atahualpa Paulino. In Sosúa, the tour focused on the El Pomo and Loma Bajita sectors, where road paving and urban beautification projects are underway as part of a broader effort led by the Ministry of Tourism (Mitur) with support from President Luis Abinader.
Collado highlighted the transformation of Sosúa Beach as a key milestone, noting that the renovation represents a major step forward for both the municipality and the Puerto Plata province. He emphasized that these improvements will enhance tourism, boost the local economy, and improve the quality of life for residents.
In Puerto Plata, the minister visited the new headquarters of the Dominican Association of Tourist Press (Adompretur), toured the Historic Center, and supervised ongoing sidewalk and curb construction projects across various streets and avenues.
