Arajet becomes first Dominican airline to earn IOSA Safety Certification

Santo Domingo.- The Dominican airline Arajet announced it has earned the prestigious IOSA (IATA Operational Safety Audit) certification from the International Air Transport Association (IATA)—the world’s leading standard for operational safety. This milestone makes Arajet the first airline in Dominican aviation history to be included in the IOSA registry, underscoring its commitment to excellence, safety, and international best practices.

CEO Víctor Miguel Pacheco celebrated the recognition as a symbol of national pride, affirming that the certification validates Arajet’s rigorous safety culture and operational standards. The IOSA audit evaluates all key areas of airline operations, including flight management, maintenance, airworthiness, and ground services, ensuring compliance with global safety benchmarks.

The certification ceremony was led by Igor Rodríguez, director of the Dominican Institute of Civil Aviation (IDAC), who hailed the achievement as a step forward for the country’s leadership in regional aviation.
