Ex Dominican President discusses in Miami how to engineer a resilient economy

Miami.– Former president Leonel Fernandez and over 200 global leaders discussed in Miami the way to engineer a resilient economy in an environment rich in opportunities and full of political, economic and environmental challenges.

The 5th World Strategic Forum, an initiative of the International Economic Forum of the Americas, that took place at the Biltmore Hotel in Miami, was aimed at fostering a better understanding of the issues and trends driving the global economy in the areas of finance, innovation, energy and trade.

As part of the official program, Fernandez held a dialogue with Organization of American States (OAS) secretary general Jose Miguel Insulza under which the Dominican political leader addressed the political crisis in Venezuela and reiterated his satisfaction with the new approach which intends to normalize relations between the U.S. and Cuba.
