Top prosecutor: Court must halt theft of most exotic Dominican beach

Santo Domingo.- Justice minister Francisco Dominguez on Mondaycalled Bahia de las Aguilas’ land a heritage of the people for which the Land Tribunalmust rule to returning them to the State and avert it’s theft by forgery.

Dominguez discarded allegations that his presence incourt was tantamount to "interference,"

“It’s not government interference and instead thevigilance of the land which must be returned to the people- that’s (the reason behind)my presence here in this court," the official said at the Land Tribunal 8thChamber, in the hearing where lawyers motioned for continuance until theSupreme Court hears a challenged filed by attorney, of the alleged owners ofthe lands.

"I want to make it clear that for the Dominicangovernment, the people and for all who protect the environment, we should have aruling in favor of these people, these lands belong to no one, they are not to makepeople rich with the heritage of the people, not for two or three people who throughfraud, forgery, and deceit, wan to take the heritage of the nation,” Dominguez said.
