At major hospital, 400, including doctors get pay without working

Santiago.- PublicHealth Regional director Dr. Austria de la Rosa on Monday revealed that some400 people, including doctors, nurses and employees of Santiago´s Cabral y Baezhospital get a paycheck without working,and some of them even live abroad.

The official said the"bottles" (popular name for those who are paid without working) wereidentified by a Health Ministry audit conducted from July 8 to 23. "Everyonewho has gone to the bank and has been unable to collect is because they´re onthat list."

In a press conferenceat the Public Health offices de la Rosa said nobody can provide nursing ormedical services for another person. "In Cabral y Baez there were doctorswho were charging but weren’t going there for centuries."
