Top diplomat’s visit aims to spurt India-Dominican Republic ties

Santo Domingo.- Culminating months of announcements on stronger ties between New Delhi and Santo Domingo, India Foreign Affairs minister Vijay Kumar Singh arrived at Las Americas Airport on Sunday, for an official three-day visit including a meeting with president Danilo Medina.

Singh’s agenda includes the signing of several agreements with various ministries including Energy and Mines, Industry and Commerce and Foreign Relations.

Foreign Ministry officials, India ambassador C. Rajasekhar, India honorary consul Campos de Moya and the Dominican ambassador to India Hans Dannenberg received the top diplomat at the airport.

New Delhi’s top diplomat will meet with Medina at the National Palace Monday morning, where they’ll discuss, economic and trade exchange between the two countries, among other topics.
