Entities honor three Dominican professionals in the US

Washington DC.- Three Dominicans who’ve achieved professional success in the United States, Maria Mejia, Marcos Espinal and Sarah Aponte, were recognized Tuesday by the Dominican Week in this country (SemDomUSA) organizing committee and the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAMDR), leader of the initiative.

In addition, Gustavo Paredes, son of the recently deceased Providencia Paredes, who was assistant to Jackie Kennedy, received the posthumous recognition bestowed on a woman who earned the respect and affection of two generations of the Kennedy family.

Several senior Dominican government officials attended the event held Tuesday evening in the gardens of the Dominican ambassador’s residence.
