Overpass construction detours busiest Dominican highway

Santo Domingo.- The Public Works Ministry will close a spanof the Duarte highway from 10pm Saturday to 3am Sunday, to install the overpassat Piedra Blanca, Bonao (dentral).

The closing will allowcrews to mount the lateral beams of the overpass being built at the PiedraBlanca junction, where motorists traveling from the Capital to Santiago aredetoured to the opposite (north-south) lane.

Motorist travelingfrom Santiago to the Capital should remain in the extreme right lane.

in a statement, PublicWorks calls for caution near the roadwork, since the four lane highway will become a two lane road.
