Haiti ban to cost exporters US$500.0M in one year

Santo Domingo.- DominicanExporters Association (Adoexpo) president Sadala Khoury on Monday warned thatif Haiti´s ban on domestic products lastsone year, the country would lose out on around US$500.0 million in exports tothat country.
He made the statementduring a meeting with the World Bank over the Haitian government´s measure,which he called arbitrary, and will jeopardize the neighboring country´s consumers.
Khoury said that theWorld Bank will provide technical and financial assistance to promote exportsto other countries such as Jamaica.
