Major retail chain opens mall, creates 700 jobs in La Romana

La Romana, DominicanRepublic.- The Grupo Ramos retail chain on Thursday inaugurated La Romana´s regionalMultiplaza mall, to expand its businesses which will provide 700 jobs in the easternprovince.

President Danilo Medinaattended the opening ceremony for the mall that will house more than 80 stores,giving the region´s residents the many spaces for shopping, services andentertainment.

Grupo Ramos CEO MercedesRamos said her company is proud with contributing to La Romana´s growth andcontribute to the progress of its people, creating new jobs and promoting communitywell-being through social responsibility.

She thanked Medina andhis staff for supporting Ramos´s executives in materializing the major project, which includes a Pola supermarket and a La Sirena department store.
