Popular bank Auto Fair approves US$69.0M+ new car loans

Santo Domingo.- The Popularbank´s 20th annual Autoferia Popular concluded Sunday with more thanRD$3.1 billion (US$69.0 million) in approved loans to buy 2,583 new vehicles.

The average auto loanwas RD$1.2 million, with the SUVs topping this year´s demand.

The event held December3 to 6 in Torre Popular´s parking lot drew 34 dealers who again offered fixed-rateloans from 7.50% at 6 months; 90% of the vehicle´s financing and up to sevenyears to repay.

In a statement, Popularsaid auto buyers in pre-day sales were also given thesame facilities as in the fair, and accounted for more than 1,240 approvedloans.
