Crews link suspension bridge for Metro Line 2

Santo Domingo.- The final link in the suspension bridge toextend the Santo Domingo Metro Line 2 being built over the Ozama River, wascompleted on Tuesday

The imposing 800-meter long structure towers over itsneighbor, the Sanchez bridge (La 17), as workers lay the rails for the trainsthat will ply the route from the National District to Santo Domingo Este.

Construction of the four stations located in Santo DomingoEste also advances, with the installation of escalators.

Transport Reorganization Office (Opret) deputy director LeonelCarrasco said Line 2 will be tested later this month or early May.
