Business leaders to mull legal security’s impact on investment

Santo Domingo.- Several chambers of commerce and business organizationswill analyze, with a large group of academics and specialists, the impact oflegal security on investment, especially foreign, in a seminar which set forTuesday July 12, from 8:30am to 12 noon, at the Sheraton Hotel.

The event hosted by the Round Table of Commonwealthcountries in the Dominican Republic, in coordination with the British Canadian,Trinidad and India chambers of commerce, the Mining and Oil Federation ofChambers of Commerce (FEDOCAMARAS) and the National Business Council (CONEP).

Among the speakers figure Export and Investment Center (CEI-RD)director Jean Alain Rodriguez; Dominican Foreign Investment Businesses Association(ASIEX) president Ramon Ortega; vice president National Business Council (CONEP)and UNIBE University master’s in constitutional law coordinator CristobalRodriguez.

Institutional and Justice Foundation (FINJUS) vicepresident Servio Tulio Castaños will also join the panel discussion andanalysis specializing in legal security, academicians and representatives ofinternational organizations.

In an emailed statement, the Roundtable said the seminar aimsto examine the influence of legal security on the process of attracting capitalfrom abroad and its importance to achieve prosperity in the Dominican Republic.
