Haiti leader to head annual Dominican-Haiti multisector fair

Comendador, Dominican Republic.- The Science and ArtFoundation on Sunday announced that Haiti president Jocelerme Privert agreed tobe honorary president of the 7th annual Binational Ecotourism andProduction Fair, slated for the Haiti border towns of Las Caobas and Belladere,Dec. 3 to 11.

"We announce with great pleasure that His Excellencythe President of the Republic of Haiti, has very gladly acceptedto be presidentof honor of the fair. He also expressed full support for the organization, stagingand promotion of the most important event taking place in the border at LasCaobas with the Dominican town of Comendador, Elías Piña," Foundation presidentJacqueline Boin said in a statement.

She said Dominican Republic president Danilo Medina willalso be invited to the event, which “will serve to continue treading paths fordialogue and expanded relations at all levels between the two nations.”
