US envoy goes to City Hall with pledges and aid in tow

Santo Domingo.- US ambassador Robin S. Bernstein on Tues. met today with Santo Domingo Mayor David Collado, and pledged collaboration in several projects, including the donation of seven trash collection trucks, support for firefighters and the Entrepreneurship Week.

She also offered assistant to Dominicana Moda, as follow up on the topic of transparency, support against natural disasters, as well training for the capital’s Municipal Police.

Collado said the diplomat expressed an interest in helping youngsters and women.

For her part, Bernstein affirmed that it ‘ a pleasure to live and work in the country” and for the relations with the Mayor’s Office.

The two-hour visit to City Hall was the US envoy’s first official public appearance after assuming the post several weeks ago.
