Dominican airports move a record 10.5M passengers
Santo Domingo.- Dominican Republic managed to mobilize in eight months this year a record 10.5 million passengers by air, Dominican Civil Aviation Institute director Alejandro Herrera revealed Fri.
He also informed that the country is ready to assume an important position as of the of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Security Council as of next September 24.
Herrera reiterated that in the January-August period over 10 million passengers from different nations traveled through the country’s international airports, registering 83,000 air operations. “We are talking about a record number of passengers who in eight months entered and left our international airports, especially tourists who come to the Dominican Republic to vacation.”
