The New York Times taps Pulitzer Junot Diaz’s latest work
NEW YORK.- Pulitzer Prize winner Dominican Junot Diaz’s latest work, "This is how you lose her," based on a Dominican immigrant’s experience, has been chosen one of the 100 outstanding books of 2012.
The The New York Times book section made the selection, which also took into account Mexican author Daniel Sada’s “Casi Nunca” (almost never).
For its new work, Diaz was nominated for the prestigious National Book Award of the United States.
The newspaper notes that the stories told by Diaz aren’t just limited to romance, but also to family relationships.
The writer, who was raised in New Jersey, also won the 2008 Pulitzer Prize for the book "The Brief and Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao."
