Tropical wave’s downpours triggers flash flood warnings

Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) issued  flash flooding and landslide warnings for eight provinces, as downpours and thunderstorms are forecast for Thursday, associated with a tropical wave.

The National Weather Office said the downpours from the tropical wave will mostly over the Caribbean coast.

The COE cautions people from swimming in the open to prevent being a victim of strikes of lighting, while residents who live near rivers and streams should take precautions for possible flash flooding.
