Taxman stutters German sports cars dealer

Santo Domingo.- Porsche Center Santo Domingo, owned by the business leader Jacinto Peynado Jr. (Jacintico), was shuttered Tuesday by Internal Taxes (DGII), allegedly for failing to pay taxes during two years.
Local media report that the dealership was closed after the DGII had been demanding payment on back taxes since July.
Porsche Center Santo Domingo, located in the upscale Esperilla district, is the German make’s official dealer, specializing in exotic sports cars.
