Dominican women rob banks in nun garb, jailed without bail

New York.- The FBI arrested two Dominican women charged  with robbing three banks dressed as nuns in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Swahilys Pedroza and Melisa Aquino, both 23, were charged with the heists in the towns of Teaneck and Garfieland, and arraigned by a judge in Newark Federal Court, d.

The first robbery took place on September 28 and the second on Sunday. One of the banks is in the tourist resort of Poconos Mountains in Pennsylvania.

The two were arrested in Teaneck, while attempting another robbery.

The FBI had recently released photos of the Dominican women taken by the security cameras. Both are being held without bail at New Jersey’s federal facility in Newark.
