Over 80% considers Medina’s presidency negative

Santo Domingo.- Over 80% of the population considers the six years of Danilo Medina’s presidency negative in the fight against crime, drug trafficking and consumption and government corruption, according to the Gallup-Hoy poll.
78.7% have an unfavorable opinion about the control and regulation of undocumented Haitians and other foreigners.
More than 60% say the Government’s performance has also been negative on the creation of jobs and economic stability and 52% believes that it has failed to control inflation and improve government salaries.
Moreover 49.5% says the government manages the energy sector very badly.
Positive
The most positive opinions citizens have are on improved public education (77%), construction of road works (55.5%), the promotion of sports (50.7%), measures in favor of women (48.9%) , improved public transport (44.6%) and solution of public health problems (43.8%).
