U.S.-Dominican joint operation targets drug trafficking network

Puerto Plata.- Authorities from the Dominican Republic and the United States have conducted a series of raids to dismantle a major international drug trafficking network. Several individuals have been arrested, and key evidence has been seized, which may prove crucial to the investigation.

The joint operation involved the National Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD), the Ministry of Defense, and the Attorney General’s Office (PGR), with support from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) and the Southern Command. Raids took place in various sectors of Puerto Plata and other provinces, leading to the capture of individuals connected to international drug trafficking activities.
