ISFODOSU Rector, Dr. Nurys del Carmen González, emphasized the institution’s commitment to providing comprehensive teacher training that includes supervised fieldwork in schools, values education, English language proficiency, and technological skills. She highlighted the importance of research in teacher education, stating, “A teacher who researches becomes a reference point with broad and deep knowledge in their area, which not only gives them confidence and authority in their work but also generates admiration and respect among their students.”

Guest speaker, Dr. Miguel Escala, a renowned educator, congratulated the graduates and stressed the significance of their role in shaping the future. “You are about to change lives, to educate citizens who will build the future of our society, especially in the South, which is celebrating this achievement today,” he said.

The graduating students, in turn, expressed their gratitude for the education they received and their commitment to making a positive impact on their communities. Yelissa Jioshanaska Fernández Gómez, the valedictorian, emphasized the responsibility that comes with being an ISFODOSU graduate. “We, as graduates of ISFODOSU, are heirs to the legacy of Salomé Ureña, Eugenio María de Hostos, and Urania Montás. We are committed to making this world a better place,” she stated.

The graduates earned degrees in various fields, including Physical Education, Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and specialized areas such as Mathematics, Biology, and Spanish Language and Literature. The institution also conferred postgraduate degrees in Early Childhood Education, Education, and Master’s degrees in E-learning, Spanish Language and Literature, and Educational Organization Management.
