BiggerGovernment delivers 2,100 property titles in Pedro Brand Pedernales
Santo Domingo – Yesterday, President Luis Abinader delivered 2,100 property titles to residents in La Guáyiga, in Pedro Brand, Santo Domingo, participated in the beginning of the Aprendo Education Congress, signed an agreement with the American Museum of Natural History and attended the general assembly of municipalities. The titles were delivered at an event at Merca Santo Domingo, where it was explained that they correspond to plot 10 of Cadastral District 31, specifically the Los Coquitos sectors. I and II, El Progreso, Los Palmares and Las Flores.
“It is our responsibility as a government to guarantee that each Dominican has the tools to build his or her destiny and contribute to the development of our country,” he said.
The head of state said that the work of the Technical Executing Unit for the Titling of State Land has impacted 3,056 families, which translates into more than 12,224 people.
He said that land titling is not just a document but a passport to dignity, progress, and equal opportunities” and a direct route to prosperity and well-being.
Duarte Méndez, executive director of the Unit, said that together with the State Sugar Council (CEA) they worked a geographic area of 478,911.60 square meters.

Abinader also signed a framework collaboration agreement yesterday between the American Museum of Natural History and the Museo Nacional de Historia Natural “Profesor Eugenio de Jesús Marcano” to execute projects and programs dedicated to understanding the country’s natural history.

“Today we begin something that can be very relevant in the history of museums in the Dominican Republic and especially with this National Museum of Natural History. Sean M. Decatur, president of the American Museum of Natural History, highlighted the importance of the President’s decision to unite these institutions to promote science and help the National Museum of Natural History strengthen its educational activities and culture at all levels.
The agreement includes consultancies on care, conservation, and management of collections, technical advice to support the definition of the technical specifications required for the museum’s collections, and the development of the museum’s collections.
