Deputies approve Visa-free agreement for diplomats with Bolivia

Santo Domingo.- The Chamber of Deputies approved a resolution to exempt visa requirements for nationals of Bolivia and the Dominican Republic holding diplomatic or official passports. Signed in Santo Domingo last year, the agreement allows eligible passport holders from both nations to enter through legally designated international transit points, strengthening bilateral ties.

In a separate resolution, lawmakers endorsed an air services agreement with the Bahamas, originally signed in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2018. The treaty grants mutual rights for overflight and landing and establishes a framework to enhance commercial air transport between the two nations.

The agreement aims to boost connectivity, expand air service opportunities, and promote safe and secure international aviation, fostering economic growth and closer relations between the Dominican Republic, Bolivia, and the Bahamas.
