Traffic disruptions announced for Duarte Highway due to construction

Santo Domingo.- The National Institute of Transit and Land Transport (INTRANT) has informed the public about traffic disruptions on the Duarte Highway from Thursday, December 26, to Sunday, December 29, due to drainage pipe installation by the Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) at kilometer 9.

To minimize congestion, INTRANT recommends using Buenaventura Freites and Los Próceres avenues as alternative routes. Traffic at the Luperón Avenue–Duarte Highway intersection will be restricted to a single lane, with drivers encouraged to use the Los Próceres–Coronel M. Lora Fernández intersection for smoother returns.

The area will be marked with appropriate signage, and DIGESETT agents will assist drivers. INTRANT urges motorists to drive cautiously, respect traffic signs, and cooperate with authorities to ensure safety and orderly traffic flow during the construction period.
