World Marijuana March RD 2025 calls for cannabis regulation
Santo Domingo.- The Global Marijuana March RD (MMM RD) has announced its next edition for Saturday, May 3, 2025, starting at 3:30 p.m. The march will begin at Skate Park I on Mirador Sur Avenue and conclude at the Center of the Heroes, in front of the National Congress.
As part of a global movement spanning over 1,000 cities, MMM RD advocates for cannabis regulation based on public health, human rights, and social justice. The organization argues that prohibition fuels organized crime, increases violence, and restricts access to medical cannabis, while regulation would promote science-based policies, equity, and harm reduction.
MMM RD encourages citizens, social organizations, healthcare professionals, and activists to participate. Supporters can contribute through volunteering, donations, social media engagement, and educational activities leading up to the event.
The DR could benefit greatly from legalizing cannabis and maybe, just maybe, people would drive a little slower jajajjj
That is not true. All drugs are bad for your body. Weed can lead to higher drugs because it is the gate of no return. Just look at the countries which have ease the penalty on the use of weed. Many have high drug addicts.
Hilarious. If that would be true same could be said about alcohol and tabacco. Let’s ban these too MR communist bernie. Bravo.
I wasnt necessarily suggesting marijuana was good for you, although there are studies that have shown it is medicinal. And you might fact check that marijuana leads to hard drugs theory – for sure alcohol is the gateway to all hell…
I was Suggesting there would be significant financial benefits and reduce criminal involvement. I feel like we can replace the sugar and multiply the yield with marijuana. We need to keep the cocaine out of here and I am convince the current DR government is really trying to do a good job with that.
Weed ruins ones mental faculties, been around potheads all my life; they dont even realise how it has mess them up..
Even billionaires and ultra successful people smoke week, buddy. Stop being narrow-minded and get with the current times. Alcohol and tobacco cause FAR more damage than weed, just look at how many fatal car accidents happen in DR every year from people driving drunk.
so true sir
Legalizing weed for recreational, medical, and business purposes could help the country economically and boost up tourism.
Hypocrites come on out! THE SACRED PLANT FOR MEDITATION! Just dont over do it…
It is time for governments around the world to begin to realize that keeping weed illegal is stupid. To lock up young people, 18 years and over, and saddle them with a criminal record for life, is insane. Tax the weed and use the money for good things like infrastructure and schools not on prisons. Just remember ” a friend with weed….is a friend indeed”
