Traffic restrictions announced for 2025 National Carnival Parade

Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Culture has announced vehicular restrictions on George Washington Avenue for the 2025 National Carnival Parade. Starting Saturday at midnight, traffic will be limited between Estrelleta Street and Máximo Gómez Avenue, with further restrictions from midnight on Sunday, March 23, until 5:00 a.m. on Monday, March 24, extending from the floating bridge on Francisco Alberto Caamaño Avenue to Abraham Lincoln Avenue.

These measures, coordinated with the National District Mayor’s Office and Digesett, aim to manage traffic flow during the event. Citizens are advised to use alternative routes, including Bolívar, Independencia, México, Benito González, Mella, and Correa y Cidrón avenues.

The restrictions are intended to ease congestion on George Washington Avenue and surrounding areas, ensuring smooth mobility during this major cultural celebration.
